Entries Continue to Grow for Saturday's Stone and Double T 200
Rockford, IL- As the first race of the season at Rockford Speedway quickly approaches, drivers from across the region continue to file their entries for the WXRX Stone and Double T 200 taking place this Saturday April 9 at Rockford Speedway. Last season saw 55 drivers take to the high banked quarter mile oval in an enduro race which also utilizes the 'Monza', a tricky twisty turn through the infield of the 64 year old venue.
The fourth running of this event will once again feature four cylinder stock cars attempting to complete 200 laps with no caution flags, just all out racing. "Entries are ahead of last year's pace, it promises to be an exciting opening day in Rockford." stated Speedway President Jody Deery. Spectator gates will open at 1pm with the green flag waving at 3pm. Adult tickets are just $10, students (ages 12-17) are $8, children (ages 6-11) are $5 with kids 5 and under admitted FREE.
